Codes
The code is what the user presents to the machine. Concept and rules in Codes and profiles.
Adding a code
Add code in the user's record:

The profiles offered are those of the user's account for that line: profiles have no level, so the code's level does not limit which one you may assign. Where it dispenses is defined by the profile's authorised devices list.
One code, two lines
A code may run vending and EAS at once, with one profile per line. The summary tells you:
- This code operates vending and EAS.
- This code operates vending only: an EAS device will reject it.
- No profile on either line: the code cannot be used.
The device, not the code, decides each delivery's line.
Editing a code
Edit code changes type, level, profiles and line. Some changes delete data, and the app warns before saving:

Uniqueness rules when moving levels:
- That code already exists in an operation of the account: to raise it to account level, remove it from that operation first.
- That code already exists at account level: it cannot be repeated inside an operation.
Activate and deactivate
Deactivate code disables it without deleting balance or history. Ideal for lost cards. Deactivating the user disables all of their codes.
Delete
Delete code removes it from the user. Dispensation history is kept. A user may end up with no codes, but a code may never end up with no profile.
Code image
View code image renders the value in its symbology and lets you download PNG or JPG to print a badge or a label.
- If the value is invalid for that symbology (e.g. an EAN13 of the wrong length), the app warns.
- NFC and fingerprint have no visual form. MRZ shows the machine-readable text, not a barcode.
Fingerprint
FINGERPRINT codes are enrolled with the reader: see Fingerprints. You type the fingerprint code's value yourself, and it must be unique within its level.
